Joy Comes in the Morning

...

I was doing a Bible study over Psalm 30 a couple of weeks ago and I came across Verse 5 which says:

"Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning."

This particular verse got me thinking about communion. There is so much pain and sadness in the crucifixion and death of Jesus. But there is so much joy in His resurrection. Jesus endured the pain and suffering on the cross to give us the opportunity to experience true joy through His resurrection. This true joy comes from being made new and having a relationship with God and this is all possible through Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. So let's remember this as we go into communion time.
