One Body

...

This summer the summer staff reviewed Romans 12 many times and one of the verses in it stood out to me.

"For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ, we, though many, form one body, and each member belong to all the others."

Through Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, we each have the opportunity to be a part of the body of Christ and we can use our unique gifts and functions to further the kingdom of God. Jesus died on the cross so that we could be a part of His family, the body of Christ. Let's remember this as we go into communion time.
