Unity in Christ

04.16.23

About a month ago I attended a worship service on Mizzou's campus called Cohesion. Over 100 college students gathered together from different college ministries on and off campus. I was put into a random group and we talked about which ministries we were from. Over the past month, I have noticed those same people in my classes. We all have a little bit more in common than I thought.

This got me thinking about the unity that we have in Christ. The Bible says in Romans 12:4-5:

"For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others."

Even though we all have our differences and we may view things differently, we are all connected by our faith in Christ. We all have the opportunity to be a part of the body of Christ because of the sacrifice He made for us. As we go into communion, let's reflect on Christ's sacrifice for us all and how we are all part of the body of Christ.
