The Greatest Gift of All

12.18.22

As we all know Christmas is just a week away. This can be a stressful and busy time of year for a lot of people. I know it is for me at least with work, Christmas shopping, and of course finals week. I have difficulty slowing down and processing the point of this holiday. Communion time is a great opportunity to process and reflect on the meaning of Christmas. Typically in communion, we will try to focus on Jesus' death on the cross, but not only did Jesus make the ultimate sacrifice for us, but He also gave us a gift. This is the gift of salvation, eternal life, and the chance at a relationship with our creator. Jesus was born to be the savior of the world, and His life from cradle to cross is the greatest gift we can receive. So let's remember this holiday season that the greatest gift that we will ever receive can not be found underneath the Christmas tree.
